The German Bactiva GmbH is integrated into the international Bactiva Group, an association of companies in Europe and North America with a total of 80 employees.

The Bactiva Group has a microbiological laboratory and a microorganism strain collection, several production facilities and a permanent international staff of specialized microbiologists and agricultural engineers. The focus of the group is on root canal treatment with microorganisms that promote plant growth. For example, more than 100,000 ha of corn and about 3 billion vegetable and ornamental plant young plants are treated every year. Our microorganisms are used in the entire range of cereals, vegetables, ornamental plants, trees, shrubs and lawns.

Bactiva GmbH in Germany develops and supports, in cooperation with the Bactiva Group, technology solutions for customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Since 2010, our company location in Straelen has been located in the immediate vicinity of the border with the Netherlands, in the middle of the German and Dutch technology cluster for vegetable cultivation under glass.

Bacteria and fungi live in the soil, which have a great benefit for the plants growing there. They combine with the roots and the adjacent rhizosphere to form a community. The aim of our use of soil-based microorganisms is the optimal supply of water and nutrients to the plant. In this way, they strengthen the plants's defenses and make it less vulnerable.
