For more information please visit: www.canxchange.eu ROLE SUMMARY The Cannabis Commodities Data Analyst is responsible for generating market intelligence and reports aimed to be distributed to the company’s clientele but also to external stakeholders of the cannabis industry. The selected individual will work closely with Canxchange customers along with its internal sales and trading team in order to offer valuable insights that create an edge for trading decision-making. The ideal candidate is someone who can both improve the existing data offering and be an idea generator on how to best optimize the use of market data. The role comprises a number of responsibilities including but not limited to: Publish Cannabis Commodities market research on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis; Work closely with the Sales & Trading Team in order to collect their market insight; Liaise with the press when Canxchange’s opinion is asked about market prices and trends; Develop & nurture customer relationships in order to create a global network of data contributors; Build detailed fundamental cannabis commodity supply and demand models; Develop and expand analytics tools and processes while staying on top of the market research and insights Model cannabis commodity data and produce ad hoc analysis based on short-term market developments Evaluate and improve data quality Participate in the development of the data department and become the key individual of a naissant team; SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Prior Market data analyst (at least 2 years) Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in statistics, mathematics, computer science, finance or economics Strong understanding of data modeling using Python and/or VBA Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with strong attention to detail Strong written and verbal communications skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced team environment GOOD TO HAVE Knowledge of the European and Global Cannabis Market ( Industrial and Medicinal) Good understanding of commodities markets Good understanding of financial markets WHAT WE OFFER Opportunity to work for an innovative and fast-growing start-up within the canna-tech space Immediate access to the company’s founders who are involved in all aspects of the business Access to work alongside our passionate, fun, and diverse team A great head office space in central London – we are located next to Battersea Bridge in a fully-serviced office space that is COVID-19 compliant Competitive salary and equity bonus 25 holiday days per annum plus UK Bank holidays.
