As a Cannabis Consultant, you contribute to the company’s success by providing exceptional customer service to all customers. This role creates a memorable experience for our customers by providing them with prompt service, incomparable knowledge about our products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Holds self and others accountable to City Cannabis’ guiding principles and policies, including those for safety and security and cash handling, to ensure the safety of all employees on shift
  • Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team
  • Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues
  • Owns self-development and provides continuous feedback to colleagues and Leadership Team
  • Assists with new employee training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed
  • Contributes to positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in employee morale and performance and communicating them to a manager to improve the employee and customer experience
  • Inspires a customer-centric culture in store by providing exceptional service to each customer
  • Actively seeks information regarding new and existing products, promotions, and programs
  • Aligns with store leadership on goals and objectives for fiscal year
  • Ensures visual standards are followed and maintained
  • Maintains regular and punctual attendance

Experience Required:

  • Experience in specialty retail or a retail environment preferred but not required
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and a willingness to learn new things and be exposed to all aspects of the store
  • Demonstrated commitment to creating an exceptional employee and customer experience
  • Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift medium to large items, up to 40 pounds, while using appropriate equipment and safety techniques
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, overnights and early mornings (if required for the role)
  • Languages other than English are an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 15 – 25 per week

Pay: Up to $18.50 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

  • 4 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Evening shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Night shift
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
