Job Description
The project manager will implement formal project management methodologies to ensure our projects are executed as planned, delivered on time and produce the desired results. The position will manage a wide variety of projects including new licensee launches, major software development/deployment projects, new product development initiatives and launches, large marketing programs large training initiatives, etc.
Duties and responsibilities
- Lead company projects by defining requirements, managing implementation through execution. • Identifies schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including but not limited to risk mitigation.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets.
- Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate client stakeholders, providing regular contact on project status and changes.
- Establish and maintain processes to manage project scope over the project lifecycle, setting project quality and performance standards, and assessing and managing risk within, and across, multiple projects.
- Utilize a system to structure and document project deliverables, manage project performance, analyze project progress, and report outcomes and status.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with outside resources—including third-party vendors and consultants
- Monitor and assign resources appropriately to streamline project efficiency and maximize deliverable outputs.
- Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed—escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans.
- Coach and educate project teams to strengthen team members’ capabilities and skill sets.
Qualifications
The following qualifications are required to be considered for this position:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years project management experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Familiar with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Proven ability to be resourceful and solve problems creatively.
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
- Experience setting up internal processes for successful project management.
- Knowledge of MS Office 365 applications.
In addition to the above, the ideal candidate will also have:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Proven success working with all levels of management
- Ability to lead project teams of various sizes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines
- Cannabis industry experience is a plus. Physical Demands/Work Environment Physical Requirements
