What is the role about?

Responsible for enabling teams adopt and effectively implement the defined and adapted framework of Agile methodologies for OMV group, principles, and practices. The Project Manager Agile Coaching works with teams to improve their ability to deliver value continuously and iteratively, and to become more self-organizing and self-managing. The Project Manager Agile Coaching also helps the organization transform to an Agile mindset and culture, and to continuously improve its Agile processes and practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Help teams adopt and effectively implement Agile methodologies and practices, such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc.
  • Assist teams in becoming more self-organizing and self-managing, and in continuously improving their ability to deliver value;
  • Facilitate agile community meetings, focusing on best practices and framework improvements around sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure that teams are following Agile principles and practices;
  • Coach community members on Agile principles and practices, and help them to develop their skills and capabilities;
  • Work with the organization to adopt an Agile mindset and culture, and to continuously improve its Agile processes and practices;
  • Collaborate with other Agile Coaches and cross-functional teams to share best practices and knowledge;
  • Steer and report on the progress and effectiveness of Agile adoption and implementation within the organization;
  • Acts as governance body for Agile implementations, oversees monitors and guides teams to perform;
  • Provide guidance & coach leaders to create a culture of collaboration and learning using Agile values, mindset, principles and practices;
  • Ensures fit/gap analysis and improvement planning;
  • Actively participate and drive topics within “Community of Practice” (CoP);
  • Coach colleagues to apply system thinking and a value-based approach, focusing their attention on customer outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Studies, Business Administration, Project Management, Computer Science, Business Informatics;
  • 7 years relevant professional experience and 3 years experience in enterprise level Agile project management and 2 year experience as coach in relevant industry;
  • Experience with Agile frameworks, such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean is a must;
  • Advanced understanding of Agile methodologies and practices, and experience coaching teams on their implementation;
  • Advanced experience in coaching teams on varying maturity levels in agile adoption;
  • Excellent ability to facilitate team meetings and discussions, and to create a collaborative and inclusive environment;
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach and mentor team members;
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address challenges and roadblocks;
  • Experience in driving large cross-functional initiatives using agile practices to enable collaboration and dependency management/removal;
  • Experience working with portfolio teams applying Lean Portfolio Management practices is considered a plus;
  • Proven track of record of working with diverse workforce in a truly global set up is a must;
  • Fluent in English and additional languages as German would be a plus.
